"Colorado State Parks will be holding a Town Meeting for Long Range Master Plan"

Town Meeting in Las Animas at the Las Animas High School, March 25 from 7pm to 9pm. This meeting is one of 18 statewide meetings focused on gathering public input from all regions in Colorado and then funnel that input into a long-range master plan. These creative work sessions will be used to determine Colorado State Parks future priorities and objectives in areas such as facilities, services, special features, and objectives in areas such as facilities, services, special features, and funding.

The Colorado State Park long-range master plan will be finalized by early 2005. This would be a good time for economic development and tourism to stress the importance of state parks working together with local tourism and economic development. Also the importance of water.

The meeting is open to the public. If you have questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to contact Brad Henley, 719-829-1801, ext. 25.
