Local DAR Chapter Formed and Organizing Regents appointed.
Trinidad, Colorado

"Through their respective state regents the following members at large are presented for confirmation as organizing regents: Roberta Hollister Cordova, Trinidad, Colorado and Jane Sherman, Staunton, Virginia."

CONGRATULATIONS ROBERTA & JANE!!! We are so excited for you!

Women with ancestors who fought in or supported the American Revolution and who are interested to help preserve America's heritage are invited to attend a Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) informational meeting on February 18th, we will be going over the application process, working on the applications and discussing the name of the Trinidad chapter. The place and time of the meeting will be announced here soon. Any woman, 18 or older, with an ancestor who fought in or supported the American Revolution can join the DAR. In addition, with the number of Spanish Colonial Patriots who aided in the American Revolution, we hope to attract their descendants for membership.

Copies of applications, genealogical worksheets, and informational brochures will be on hand. Our experts in early American and Hispanic genealogy will be there to offer their assistance. Prospective members from Trinidad and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend with their questions and to see if they are eligible!

DAR is a nonpolitical 501(c) volunteer service organization. It promotes patriotism, education, and preserves American history throughout the community, including many youth targeted programs.
